Oregon requires agencies to register with the Secretary of State before the non-resident firm license can be issued. After registration, you will email the Oregon Division of Insurance to attach the approval to your application.

Step 1: Register with the Oregon Secretary of State

  1. Go to the Oregon SOS Business Registry.
  2. Click Register a Business.
  3. Complete the registration form for your entity type and pay the $275 fee online.

Registered Agent Information

You must designate a registered agent with a physical address in Oregon. InsureTrek offers this service for $45 through Registered Agents Inc, or you may use any provider of your choice.

Step 2: Notify the Oregon Division of Insurance

Once your SOS registration is approved, email the Oregon Division of Insurance at web.insagent@oregon.gov with your approval attached.

We recently submitted an application for a non-resident firm license for Your Company (NPN: Your NPN). Attached is our approved Secretary of State registration.
