Register as a Foreign LLC with the Secretary of State
Before applying for your Alabama agency license, you must register your company as a foreign LLC with the Alabama Secretary of State.
- Go to the Alabama SOS Foreign Corporations portal.
- Complete the foreign LLC registration.
If your company name contains the word "Insurance", you may not be able to register online. In that case, download and fill out the paper form from the SOS website, then mail it to the Secretary of State's office.
- Once your registration is approved, upload the confirmation to the InsureTrek attachment warehouse for the Alabama state license.
