Where can I find my NPN?
Agencies and Producers can find their NPN's using our NPN Lookup tool HERE. Individuals can search by SSN and Last Name. Agencies can search by FEIN. Both entities can search by state license number.

What License Classes and Lines of Authority does InsureTrek Support?
Presently, our platform supports License Classes/Lines of Authorities necessary for Agencies and Producers to service the Medicare industry.

I don't see an expiration date for my license?
Check the Perpetual status of your state license. There are a handful of states (Florida, Maine, Michigan, and North Carolina) that offer perpetual producer licenses – aka licenses that never expire and therefore don’t have renewal dates.

Can a producer submit documentation for a background question?
Producers must submit documentation for background questions directly to NIPR's Attachment Warehouse

Can I add or remove a Line of Authority (LOA)?
Presently, the ability to amend (add or remove a Line of Authority) a license application is not available in InsureTrek. However, we are constantly working to make feature improvements to the platform.

Why is my license not showing up?
Presently, our platform supports License Classes/Lines of Authorities necessary for Agencies and Producers to service the Medicare industry. Any license associated with other lines of business (e.g. Property and Casualty) will not be available to manage in InsureTrek. However, we are constantly working to make feature improvements to the platform.

I have a license scheduled to renew, but I don't see it?
Licenses that are scheduled to renew appear in the "Renewals" que 30 days prior to expiration.

When can I renew my license?
Licenses that are scheduled to renew appear in the "Renewals" que 30 days prior to expiration. If "Auto-Apply" is selected, the renewal application will automatically process 15 days prior to expiration.

Why is my license showing up in "Needs Attention"?
A license could be labeled as "Need Attention" for various reasons. 1. See the "Attention Indicators" for any potential pre-requisite blockers. 2. If an application was Declined, check the reason for failure to correct the issue.

Why do I have to answer so many background questions?
The number of background questions a producer is required to answer varies by state, license, and line of authority. There may be follow-up questions to some questions.

Can I reapply if my application is Declined?
Yes. When an application fails, InsureTrek informs the applicant why it failed, and guides them on how to resolve the problem.

When will my application process?
License applications process immediately IF all prerequisites (Employment History, Background Questions, Payment Configurations) have been completed.

Does InsureTrek offer CE classes?
Not currently. Please refer to your Resident state to see what online CE companies to use.

How can I reinstate a suspended license?
To reinstate a suspended license, please contact the coordinating states DOI.

Can InsureTrek manage my agencies licenses?
InsureTrek does offer the ability to apply for, renew, and manage Firm (Agency) Nonresident licenses.

Can I update my responsible producer?
Presently, the ability to update an agency's DRLP (Designated Responsible Producer) is not available in InsureTrek. However, we are constantly working to make feature improvements to the platform.

Can I process state appointments?
Presently, the ability to process state appointments for carriers is not available in InsureTrek. However, we are constantly working to make feature improvements to the platform.

What is "Ready To Sell"?
"Ready To Sell" (also know as Carrier Appointments) means that a carrier has given a producer the authority to act on its behalf as an agent in the coordinating state. "Ready-to-sell" (RTS) status with insurance carriers is required to sell certain types of insurance, such as Medicare products. InsureTrek tracks when individuals become appointed, or appointment is terminated with insurance carriers.

How does billing with InsureTrek work?
InsureTrek operates on a monthly subscription model. We bill your account $25 USD for each NPN managed on our platform.

How much does InsureTrek charge for NIPR?
InsureTrek does not charge customers for our NIPR integration. Any transaction related costs incurred by NIPR are passed along to the customer.

How can I change my contact information?
Presently, the ability to update your name or contact information is not available in InsureTrek. However, we are constantly working to make feature improvements to the platform.

Why does my license show "Missing"?
In InsureTrek, licenses identified as "Missing" could mean: 1. The Line of Authority initially applied for is no longer valid (lines of authority are subject to change per each state DOI). 2. The state license application is in que to process, but potential factors (see Attention Indicators) are blocking the application from completing successfully.

How often is license information updated from NIPR?
License information is updated daily through our integration with NIPR.

What is a "Territory"?
In InsureTrek, an agency's Territory is defined as the combined geographic regions for which it wishes to manage licensing efforts.

What do those little icons mean?
Our "Attention Indicators" advise the user of any potential blockers for license application. Some potential blockers are unconfigured payment options or incomplete background/employment history questions required for successful license application.

Why is my name "Red"?
InsureTrek identifies producers whose initial and renewal payment configurations are incomplete, by emphasizing them in "Red".

What does "Unassigned" mean?
In InsureTrek, licenses identified as "Unassigned" are producers licenses that are not assigned to a "Territory".

What are "Forecasted Debits"?
Forecasted Debits represents the total cost of all license renewals scheduled for the next 45 days.

Can I apply for onboard more than one producer at a time?
Yes. InsureTrek's Bulk Producer Onboarding feature allows you to bulk onboard producers (with a csv) and assign state licenses in one easy process.
